- Quality
Quality services by quality people. Whilst we operate charitably on a not-for-profit basis, we aim to provide your children with a fun, exciting, well-managed environment that encourages their development. We care about what we do.
- Affordability
Low cost affordable care has been at the heart of the Learning Tree since it began. Take a look at our Fee Policy for our current price and how we charge. It is not just our hourly rate which is low: there are no hidden charges or mechanisms used to inflate your bill. We have no retainer fee, no set hours, late booking or cancellation penalties. You pay for what you use.
- People
The Learning Tree was established by the people in the community, for the community. It cares deeply about its staff and the parents, and above all the children, who to us are the "little people" (our acorns) around which our world revolves.
- Flexibility
Our watchword is flexibility - we must aim to meet the increasingly flexible demands of modern life. Parents can't always book days or weeks in advance, cancellations can sometimes have to be made late in the day, and parents cannot always predict what child care provision they need on a regular basis. We do not penalise our parents and carers by having rigid charging structures based on such things. If there is space, children can come, parents can call for their children to stay longer, leave earlier, or whatever their need is.
- Openness
We are open and accountable in every way. As our constitution is based on the Pre-School Learning Alliance model, the parents are the members to whom the Committee are fully accountable. New parents are welcome to visit anytime, and we hold open general meetings and open days. Committee are accessible to staff who are accessible to parents on a fully open basis. We host regular social events aimed at bringing the parent community closer together.
